| The “Partners” Monument |
| The earthquake on March 31, 2002 took the lives of 5 construction workers working for TAIPEI 101 project. In memory of them and an electrician who accidentally died on site and in appreciation of all the people involved with TAIPEI 101 project, including investors, designers, consultants, owner’s team and workers, we put their names on colorful glass bricks, which were then assembled as tangram to create the “Partners” Monument as they had worked together to complete the tallest building in the world.
Designed by world-renowned glass artist Florence Ng, the Monument will be installed on the Xinyi Road side of TAIPEI 101. The 7 colorful, bright glass pillars will become light boxes glittering at night to decorate the night scene of TAIPEI 101 and it is an unique and meaningful architectural art dedicated to the world.
