Notice on Taipei 101’s Personal Data Collection, Processing and Use:
Taipei Financial Center Corporation (hereinafter “Taipei 101”) has a need to collect, process or use relevant personal data based on customer service and business contact (specific purpose code 090 consumer and customer management and service) and other relevant business (181 other business consistent with registered scope of business or articles of association). Please read carefully.
The data collected for the above purposes include personal data such as name, contact details, gender (personal data category code C001, C011, C132). Taipei 101 will keep the data in paper and electronic forms and process it by non-fully automated manners based on the period of existence of the above specific purposes. The use shall be limited to the specific purpose within Taipei 101’s scope of business in Taiwan. Unless required by law or the competent authority, or to provide data to our partners that provide products or services in order to answer your questions, Taipei 101 will not provide your data to any third party or engage in any cross-border processing or use.
In accordance with applicable laws, you can exercise the below rights in relation to your personal data kept by Taipei 101:
- Unless there are exceptions under the law, you can seek consultation, viewing of the data or ask Taipei 101 to provide copies of the data, for which Taipei 101 may collect a reasonable charge to cover its costs, in accordance with the law and actual situation.
- Ask Taipei 101 to supplement or correct your personal data, provided that you shall provide proper clarification of the reason and facts.
- If Taipei 101 collects, processes or uses personal data in breach of the law, you may ask Taipei 101 to stop collecting, processing or using your personal data, in accordance with the law.
- If there is a dispute about the correctness of personal data, you can ask Taipei 101 to stop processing or using your personal data, except if the data are required to perform the business and the dispute is specified or with your written consent.
- In accordance with the law, when the specific purpose for collection of personal data ceases to exist, expires or if its required by law or if you revoke your consent or object to continued processing by Taipei 101, you may ask Taipei 101 to delete, stop processing or using your personal data, except if the data are required for Taipei 101 to conduct its business, perform the contract between the parties, perform its obligations required by law or with your written consent.
- If you raise a concern about the correctness of the data or the handling manner, objects to Taipei 101’s continued processing, Taipei 101’s illegal processing, or the purpose of the data retention ceases to existence or the retention period expires, and if Taipei 101 needs to continue keeping the data during litigation, pending clarification on the application of the law or verification, you can ask Taipei 101 to limit the processing of data. If Taipei 101 processes your personal data based on legitimate interest or public interest, you also have the right of rejection (objection).
- Depending on the applicable law, you can request the transfer of your data held by Taipei 101, based on contract performance or your consent, to another institution (organization) in a machine-readable format.
- If the basis of processing is your express consent for collection, processing and use, you can revoke your consent, provided that it shall not impact the legality of Taipei 101’s processing of personal data before you revoked the consent.
