Maintenance

To balance company development with environmental protection measures for the purpose of sustainable development, TAIPEI 101 minimizes waste and pollutants generated at each stage of corporate activities, including business operations, marketing, service, and maintenance, while conserving energy and reusing resources where possible.

Landscape beautification

In 2007, the TAIPEI 101 building received the highest score in the world to obtain LEED v4 platinum certification, which is the strictest standard of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Thus, the building became the first outside of the United States and the only one in Taiwan to earn the certification in this category, becoming a platinum ultra-high building. To create a high-quality working environment, we believe that landscape beautification is a key factor. In addition to landscaping and greenery on the outside of the building, various public art installations are also set up inside and outside of the building. Hopefully, all visitor and tenants of the building will be able to appreciate the effects of public art on the aesthetics of the space, seamlessly integrating into moments of life and the urban texture.

Public Area Cleaning

To provide a clean and comfortable environment, the building employs professional cleaning companies responsible for public areas as well as the recycling of resources.

Waste disposal

From the beginning of the waste generation, the cleaning staff will classify on each floor first. Among them, combustible waste is not transported by elevator, as long as it is directly thrown into the waste treatment system, after crushing treatment, vacuum extraction, concentrated in the basement for drainage and compression, then sent to incineration Factory treatment not only achieves waste weight reduction, but also saves manpower and elevator energy for transporting waste. The recycling of resources is subdivided into 26 categories to speed up the processing procedures of back-end recyclers and recycling agencies and improve resource recycling. In addition, TAIPEI 101 is promoting waste reduction, aiming to reduce waste production by 10% within three years.
