TAIPEI 101 is secured 24 hours a day by a well-trained team to ensure the safety of all personnel and property. The building uses the world`s most advanced electronic security equipment and surveillance to instantly transmit security information for all major entrances, elevators, and public areas via a fiber-optic network.
Visitors can use the automated visitor card terminals in the first floor lobby to get in touch with the office they wish to visit. When the tenant authorizes the visitor, the visitor will obtain an visitor card to gain access to the office block.
The 24-hour card reader, in conjunction with the visitor management system, controls and confirms the identity of the entry and exit. When the visitor leaves, the gate automatically recovers the visitor card, requiring very little manpower.
During non-building hours, tenants entering the building must use their employee pass access the elevator with trips limited to the floor their office is on. Any person who does not have an employee pass will be required to register and will be issued a visitor pass by the counter security officer, and the tenant will have to go to the lobby to meet the visitor.
The collection and delivery of tenantsˋ goods in the tower are handled by the logistic service zone, reducing the frequency of delivery personnel entering and leaving the tower, and reducing the access and risk of unspecified external personnel.

The most complete fire protection system, including non-combustible building materials, is used in the main building and all renovation work. When an emergency occurs, the integrated safety programs are automatically activated, fire doors are closed, and smoke exhaust systems are activated. Escape routes are supplied with air and pressure. There are two refuge rooms in the mechanical floor on every eighth floor. The mechanical floors above the 34th floor have outdoor refuge platforms to ensure a safe and sound environment and have obtained gold fireproof seals.
